This track is part of the soundtrack I created for the Lewa Adventure theme park in Xi’an, China.
A musical journey begins with a viola fiddle melody building with dulcimer strums and pounding percussion to intense combative violin lines. Underscores the action during a live high dive show when divers compete to win the princess’s hand in marriage.
I released this cover of "Aquatic Ambiance" on November 21st, 2019 to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo in '94. The original version was composed by David Wise for the underwater levels of game.
I used a combination of synth sounds, live instruments and custom-made sound effects to create the aquatic soundscape. Features the violin, erhu, (the Chinese violin) and guzheng, (a Chinese instrument similar to a harp).
Nominated as a finalist in the 2020 Game Audio Network Guild Awards for the remix category.
This is an excerpt of the soundtrack I composed for Time Alley, a walk-through attraction with live entertainment in Shanghai, China. Visitors walk through the laboratory of a time traveling scientist and are transported back to Shanghai in the 1920s.
